Nighttime Calls-Drawtober Day 3

This was a little harder than the other 2 pieces I have done so far. I had absolutely no idea how I was going to tackle this piece. First of all, how do you define "an unusual animal"? After some thought this is what popped into my head.

It is, essentially a hummingbird sized flying horse small enough to fit on the pedal flower. I used a picture of a speckled hummingbird for inspiration.
